Transit is preparing plans to restore the site of the new bridge construction and wants community input into what it leaves behind.

 In 1980 Te Puia Marae had a beach at its door step with cockles and flounder caught right outside. With the construction of the present bridge in the 1980s the marae became surrounded by a motorway, a landfill reclamation and was forever cut off from the harbour by the newly built Mahanga Drive.

Chairman's Report

TOES is now into its second year and I believe in that time we have made a positive contribution by working with the range of agencies and harbour users to bring about an upgrade of the Onehunga Bay shoreline. TOES believes this will provide a quality area for our community and will become a foundation stone for  future generations to develop and further enhance to ensure a quality outcome.
