Act Now Against The Transpower Proposal

Dear Councillors

Did you know that Transpower wants to increase the capacity of the Henderson Otahuhu 220,000 volt transmission line by 45%?

Say no to this proposal!

We are requesting interested parties to make a submission against this increase.

Why:

You are entitled to make a submission to Auckland City opposing the application by TRANSPOWER. Download the submission form to make your objection known!

The submission lists the REASONS why you should object to their latest proposal:

Increase in adverse effects, affect on public health, potential hazards to habitable buildings & their occupiers, increase in magnetic fields will be created by the the proposed activity, no mitigation measures can be introduced to reduce the adverse effects.

Transpowers application is misleading in what they are seeking, the application is not in accordance with Auckland Regional ouncils air land & water plan or section 5 of the RMA. Auckland City Council should review their 4th of August 2006 letter to Transpower and use this letter as a base for making a submission in opposition to the Transpower application.
