What's Happening at the Lagoon?

As you are aware Onehunga residents group (TOES - The Onehunga Enhancement Society)  has been in ‘talks' with Auckland City Council (ACC) and the NZ Transport Authority (NZTA) to come up with a plan for the motorway extension to reduce the impact on this community. 

While we have been trying in good faith to follow the process ACC and NZTA have been constantly trying to change agreed outcomes. 

We need your help to let them know that the community is prepared to stand behind the original agreements but not prepared to allow them to ignore these agreements. 

You can clearly see from the image below how the community is being short changed (click on the thumbnail for larger image). A number of our members are telling us that this outcome would be far from satisfactory to them.

We are concerned that this approach will also spill over into the agencies approach to the restoration of the foreshore as well.

Please advise by return email how you feel about the changes so that we can pass all our members feedback on to the people we are dealing with within the respective agencies.
