The Restoration of the Mangere Bridge Waterfront Reserve. Transit is preparing plans to restore the site of the new bridge construction and wants community input into what it leaves behind. Share your ideas at a meeting at Te Puia Marae on the corner of Mahunga Drive and Miro Rd 6 pm Monday 7th September All welcome In 1980 Te Puia Marae had a beach at its door step with cockles and flounder caught right outside. With the construction of the present bridge in the 1980s the marae became surrounded by a motorway, a landfill reclamation and was forever cut off from the harbour by the newly built Mahanga Drive. | ||
